Perfectness.
It is impossible to grasp. but it seems like everyone kept on trying.
Somehow their idea of perfectness is a paradise to them. Everything they wanted to be, everything they wanted to have, all in their hands. And that is their idea of perfectness.
But one question came to my mind.
How come this idea of perfectness, seems so much like a paradox?
Imagine that your life is perfect. Where you have achieved every goal in life. When you have everything that you’ve ever wanted. There’s nothing in this world left for you to desire.
When it seems that every aspects of your life is complete, you are actually missing a part of it. And that is, the imperfectness itself.
Its because a part of being human, is being imperfect.
God made us to be who we are and what we are in this form. And in this form, which we all call as humans, have empty gaps inside of us. These gaps represent our abilities, our weaknesses, our responsibilities, our health, our wealth, etc. And one of the purposes in life is to fill up those gaps. Note, that those gaps are, to put in context, infinity in numbers. We can try to fill as much as we can, but to fill all of it is logically impossible.
Now maybe most of us see these unfilled gaps are a form of imperfectness. But never do they think that maybe god made these infinite gaps because we are not meant to fill all of it?
Why? To put it simply, god made every one of us in our own unique abilities and weaknesses. For example some people are smarter that the others while other are more athletic, etc.. It will always be in that form. We have our own abilities and weaknesses in our own ways. We can only lessen our weakness, but never remove it completely.
Having a perfect life, seems so unnatural. Theres no adventure to it. No goals to complete, no thrills, no efforts. Nothing to look forward to. No uncertainties. It will be a dull life.
Living in this world with our abilities and our flaws. Passing through each challenges and hardship in life with effort. That’s the beauty in life. That is in fact, the real pure form of life.
So think again when you are trying to be perfect. Because it is in fact the imperfectness in life that truly makes a life worth living.
